The brief
KDS were appointed by Byrne Estates as delivery architects and were tasked to maximise both residential and commercial accommodation and re-submit it for planning which was granted approval and won the 2009/10 Kent Design Award for Residential Category.
- Type: Twin Towers with 5-Storey apartment & 2-storey commercial block

The site
This award-winning development sits on two decommissioned nuclear submarine docks formerly owned by the M.O.D. The two new iconic towers are located at the extremity of the docks, with a 5-storey low-rise residential block on one side and a 2-storey, approximately 6,000sqm, commercial block on the other. The buildings are built over a basement car park formed within the full length of the two finger docks.
