The Brief
KDS was appointed by MACE development to deliver block 3 of Greenwich square. This was the first BIM level 2 project which KDS successfully delivered for MACE.
‘The Courtyard’ is a mixed used development with 325 residential units surrounding a 2,480 sqm of meticulously landscaped internal courtyard designed by Outer Space Landscape Architect, along with 8 storeys of living wall on both North & South facade is a flagship development for MACE Development.
Greenwich Square, Block 3 is part of a 4 phase development of a masterplan designed by MAKE Architects.
KDS were employed by Hadley & Mace Group to deliver the fit out of the leisure centre (Phase 1,) and subsequently the townhouses (Phase 3,) between 2015 ‐ 2017. After the successful delivery of both the phases KDS were retained on the last phase to develop Block 3. As the project was over budget, KDS were appointed along side MAKE Architects, by MACE developments to optimise the scheme and assist MAKE Architects in submitting arevised planning application for additional accommodation.
Subsequent to planning approval in 2016, KDS were appointed by MACE development to deliver the approved scheme.
This was the first residential scheme for MACE Development and they wanted to use the latest technology to deliver the project.
The project was executed in BIM level 2, from consultant to supply chain. The snagging was done in BIM 360 fields. The project was successfully delivery by KDS in June 2020.
